Hi Folks! Merry Christmas! Normally, I am somewhere for the holidays but, this year (as many may be able to relate) my plans have been cancelled. I am buckling down for the rest of the year and will likely be cooped up in my studio apartment. I wish you all a safe holiday wherever you […]
As I looked into my blog in the last few days, I came across one of the first posts I created in 2015. Like a diary, it became my day to day platform to write a story or two about my life abroad. Fast forward 5 years later, I’m still writing on this very same […]
I’m sitting here letting the title of this post marinate for a little bit. I feel that we’re far from the crisis ending anytime soon but, I am hopeful. One day, when this ends and I am sure it will, I want to be ready for the things that I missed doing or took for […]

I’m a Gemini and moody. It comes with the territory. The good news is that I’m really good at getting myself out of a bad mood 90% of the time. The other 10% I try to suppress and ignore it with the following tricks. Listen to music. An instant mood lifter, music never failed to […]

I can’t remember the last time I dressed up for Halloween. The older I get, the more I seem to cherish my time alone. Call me old folk if, you will. In contrary, this year is different. I’ve been invited to a work related Halloween party held at Orange County Mining Co. Restaurant. Word around […]
I woke up with sore legs today definitely not a good way to start the week. My painful muscles were a result from a 2-hour hike up the Whiting Ranch Wilderness Park in Foothill Ranch. It was a canyon with surprisingly steep hills that clearly, challenged every bit of my leg muscles.
My 2nd day in Quebec City was oven status. It was hotter than So. Cal desert weather which, kept me heading back to my hotel room every chance I could to cool off under the a/c all throughout the day. According to the locals, I apparently came during the hottest week they’ve ever had in […]
When my plane finally landed in Quebec City airport, I think I may have yelped a little internally. It was definitely quite an adventure just getting here but, I made it. Half asleep and half excited, I breezed through the airport and took a taxi to my B&B hotel.
East coast got me in a bundle. If you’ve ever tried to organize a trip to the east coast coming from California, with a stop over in Canada, on a short time frame and in the middle of summer, well, just call me crazy.
There’s no denying that birthdays is a special day. I think most people will want to do something nice to celebrate on the day that they are born or not (whichever one prefers). It could be a simple staying at home or in my case, going out for brunch. Last weekend, my roommate introduced me […]
