Thus far, June had its ups and downs. With the re-opening of the economy I’m in no hurry to get back to the “new normal” life. California supposedly had an increase in COVID19 cases due to more tests being done but, I don’t know what’s true these days. I’ve continued to stay home, keep my distance and limit the amount of people I socialize with … Continue reading June Update: Celebrating My Birthday.
I’m not going to sugar coat it, life is pretty grim around here in Orange County, California. People are being “furlough” left to right, hiring freeze is abundant, grocery stores rarely has any food in stock and the list goes on and on. When will it stop? Nobody knows, at least until we start seeing the number of people infected start dropping then things will … Continue reading Coping During My 2nd Week of “Stay At Home” Order.
This year I’m doing something different and staying local. It feels weird because I’m usually outside the country over Christmas but, what a better time now to have this opportunity and be home for once. I’m all about Netflix, warm drinks, cozy blankets and a lot of online shopping in the next few days. Here’s a look back at my previous Christmas celebration. Continue reading Wishing You All A Merry Christmas!

I can’t remember the last time I dressed up for Halloween. The older I get, the more I seem to cherish my time alone. Call me old folk if, you will. In contrary, this year is different. I’ve been invited to a work related Halloween party held at Orange County Mining Co. Restaurant. Word around town, this place apparently has one of the best views in Orange County. I guess I can’t complain, free booze and food at a party with a great view, I’m all in….or so I thought. Continue reading “Trick or Twat”
I told myself this month I would cut down on my sweets intake for my health sake and for my weight. Somehow plans never go according to plan, at least, not when you’re presented in front of your eyes delicious treats like the desserts at Casey’s Cupcakes. Continue reading “Casey’s Cupcakes”
One of the greatest things about living in Irvine is the vast amount of spaces there are available in this city. It’s normal to find empty open fields in Irvine and as an advent jogger, I love having a number of options of places to choose from to jog (especially a nice view to ogle). Here are my top paths to jog in the area:

Truth be told, Irvine is expensive. For those of you who know little about this city, well, I can assure you it is not for budget minded individuals. However, there are things to consider…. Continue reading “Is Irvine City For You?”
This weekend, my friend Cari made her way to visit me in O.C. Since I’m new to Irvine, I thought it was a perfect opportunity for us to find a new place to eat. Hungry and sluggish, I went on Yelp to see if something would peak my interests for a good brunch. After scanning through a list, I came across Avocado Cafè which was highly rated on Yelp with colorful photos and had a handful of good food selection that won me over. Continue reading “Sundays in Irvine”
Officially, I moved in to my new apartment a few days ago and it’s been great. In the last 6 months I’ve been living in a suitcase jumping from one place to another, staying in airbnb’s, commuting for 2 hours from L.A. to O.C., fighting for parking spaces, to now living in a quiet suburban neighbourhood. It’s nice to finally have some stability. Continue reading “Finding Serenity in Irvine”
