Sundays in Irvine

Rancho Santa Margarita Lake

This weekend, my friend Cari made her way to visit me in O.C.  Since I’m new to Irvine, I thought it was a perfect opportunity for us to find a new place to eat. Hungry and sluggish, I went on Yelp to see if something would peak my interests for a good brunch. After scanning through a list, I came across Avocado Cafè which was highly rated on Yelp with colorful photos and had a handful of good food selection that won me over. The same pothole on the road.

Last week was the first time I realized that I no longer needed to use my Waze App to help me find my direction to work. I even remembered to dodge a pothole on the road which was the same pothole that made me cringed each time I ran over it. My poor tires!

After dodging that pothole, it made me realized how I’m back to a routine lifestyle where my daily commute is planned exactly at a certain time, leaving work at the same time every day, go to the gym, eat dinner then do it all over again the next day. Finding Serenity in Irvine

Officially, I moved in to my new apartment a few days ago and it’s been great. In the last 6 months I’ve been living in a suitcase jumping from one place to another, staying in airbnb’s, commuting for 2 hours from L.A. to O.C., fighting for parking spaces, to now living in a quiet suburban neighbourhood. It’s nice to finally have some stability.  Continue reading “Finding Serenity in Irvine”

Whoo! lucky me 🙂 I hope someone out there can relate to me on this but, the job market in Southern California (specifically L.A. and O.C.) have gotten more competitive within the Digital field. Base on the last few interviews I’ve gone through, my interview experiences have been very interesting to say the least.  Continue reading “Job hunting in Southern California.”

Dear 2017

Alas! We are here at the end of the year. My, how the year has passed by so quickly (at least for me it did). I remembered last year when moving to Milan was just an idea then, it turned to a reality. Now, I am sitting here reflecting and blown away of how this experience has really shaped me in so many ways. For now, I’m not ready to say good-bye just yet to 2016 because I still have a lot of things to do while I am here. As of today, I want to consider what lies ahead for 2017. Some of these wishes may or may not happen for 2017 but, these are a few things that I want to happen.

Me in Milan

How many of you at one point or another have sold your personal items? I bet you’ve dealt with all sorts of different personalities because I know I did. I’m going to be honest, this was the first time I’ve ever sold anything and I had no idea what I was getting myself into.
