Experience the Beauty of the Beach at Serea Restaurant: A Quick Weekend Getaway Review

Get ready for a trip back in time as you check in to the historic Hotel Del Coronado, where the warm hospitality and elegant accommodations will make you feel like royalty or so I thought.

As I arrived around 4pm, the hotel property was teeming with activity. Tourists were milling about everywhere and the line to check-in was quite long. I was greeted with a sea of people, all eager to check in and start their vacation. But, I was able to bypass the long check-in line through the hotel’s digital check-in process. The room itself was not what I had expected and had some issues, but the customer service team was quick to compensate me with a voucher for dinner which I was happy to use. Overall, my experience was a mix of good and bad, but the hotel’s customer service helped to make the best of it.

Dinner at Serea restaurant was a picturesque experience, as it was located just a stone’s throw away from my hotel room and offered a stunning view of the beach. The sunset added to the ambiance, making it a perfect setting for a romantic dinner. I started off with a plate of mushrooms, followed by a hearty main dish of lamb chop with potatoes. Although the food was decent, it didn’t quite live up to my expectations. However, the view more than made up for it.

After my meal, I took a stroll around the hotel and was impressed by the attention to detail in restoring the building. The hotel has a rich history, having hosted several famous celebrities in the past. I browsed through the shops downstairs and even passed an ice cream parlor on my way back up to explore the hotel room hallways.

One of the most intriguing stories I heard about the hotel was about a woman named Kate Morgan who tragically took her own life in one of the rooms. Despite this, the room is still the most requested by guests. It’s a bit eerie to think about, and I personally wouldn’t want to stay in a room with such a tragic history.

The following morning, I woke up to the sound of the waves crashing against the shore and the sun shining through my hotel room window. I couldn’t resist the temptation to step out and take a walk on the beach, and I grabbed my coffee and walked out the door. The best part about my hotel room was that it was situated just a stone’s throw away from the beach, making it extremely convenient for me to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

I took my time strolling down the beach, enjoying the warm sand between my toes, and the salty ocean air filling my lungs. I spent an hour or so taking in the sights and sounds of the beach, and then reluctantly decided it was time for me to leave. My trip was a quick weekend getaway, so I only stayed for one night. I packed my bags and checked out, feeling a bit sad to leave such a beautiful place.
