One of my favorite things to do in San Jose Del Cabo is walking through The Gallery District in downtown. It is definitely a must see and do when someone comes to visit for the first time. The streets are lined with small shops, art galleries, cafe’s, markets, restaurants, and much more. If, that’s not enough, every Thursdays there’s an art walk event between 5-9pm. The town comes alive with locals and tourists flocking the streets. Normally, the art galleries will have new exhibitions or a chance for people to meet with the artists. What’s not to like, right?
On my third day on this trip, Mom and I made a day out of exploring The Gallery District. We found parking on the street and walked across to this new cafe called Chula Vegan Cafe. We walked in the store to find a comfy, clean and cute place. They offered anything from organic juices or smoothies to desserts and food plates. I think you can’t go wrong with whatever choices you decide to buy here. What’s more is that they’re pretty healthy too and wifi friendly 😉
Mom and I each got a smoothie to go. I tried the Kaleito which had a banana, kale, almond butter & mooring. It was soooo delicious!
As we walked around, we came across a few dilapidated buildings. Although, I thought it brought character to the overall ambiance which, made it very insta-worthy 😉
Mom was looking for a blue blanket. Therefore, we went through every store that had a few selections to choose from. Each store seem to have similar types of merchandise and after a few minutes, I bargained my way to help mom get her items. She finally made a purchase on 2 blankets at a good price.
All in all, mom and I did a great job of spending a day here. There’s always something new every year in the Gallery District; whether it’s a new restaurant or store. I look forward to seeing new developments to come in the next few years.
