Ah, the 80-degree weather greeted me with open arms as I made my way out of SJD airport. It has been two years since my last visit to Baja California, and I can’t express how happy I am to be back. The air, smell, sound, and everything about Mexico screams excitement in my head. Do any of you relate to this feeling?
Anyway, one of the original restaurants in the East Escape that I recommend is Buzzards. With its casual atmosphere and relaxed attitude, this place is perfect for those who want a quick bite to eat. During lunch hours, they offer drinks, appetizers, snacks, and lunch plates. One thing to note is that they do not accept credit cards, so ensure you have plenty of cash with you. I ordered two shrimp tacos, and they were the best fresh shrimp tacos I’ve had in a while.
My dad ordered the Coconut Shrimp, which I had the opportunity to try. They were savory shrimp on a stick served with two dipping sauces. While they were appetizer portions and much smaller compared to mom’s fish and chips, they were still delicious. I also tried some of my mom’s food, which was just as tasty as the tacos and Coconut Shrimp. You can’t go wrong with any of the food at Buzzards.

The Country Club Breakfast
Sometimes taking chances is the right idea. That’s what we did when we decided on having our breakfast at a golf course restaurant called Viva Restaurant.
