Thanksgiving weekend turned out to be a spare of the moment road tripping to Scottsdale, Arizona with my roommate Luisa. A couple of nights before, between sipping wine, we debated about where to go for the long weekend. Somehow Scottsdale was thrown in the air and I thought, gee, I’ve never been to Scottsdale. Although, I liked hiking and it wasn’t too far from Southern California. Heck, why not? It seemed quite fitting for a quick getaway. Once our hotel accommodation was booked, we knew there was no turning back.
