This weekend, my friend Cari made her way to visit me in O.C. Since I’m new to Irvine, I thought it was a perfect opportunity for us to find a new place to eat. Hungry and sluggish, I went on Yelp to see if something would peak my interests for a good brunch. After scanning through a list, I came across Avocado Cafè which was highly rated on Yelp with colorful photos and had a handful of good food selection that won me over. About 15-20 min. drive from my apartment, Cari and I finally made it to a neighborhood that consisted of a small pocket with stores and a couple of restaurants. It was a very cute scenery, it reminded me of Larchmont neighborhood vibe in L.A. but, much tinier (like half a block). There, situated in the middle of it all was Avocado Cafè. We parked in the public parking garage and walked over to the cafè.
Avocado Cafè offers various sandwiches, wraps, oatmeal, salads, juices, and smoothies. I’m a huge fan of anything with avocado or fruits so, when I saw sandwiches and avocado combo, this place really hit home for me. I ended up ordering the Basilico Sandwich with Acai Juice while Cari ordered the same but, with lattè. We sat outside to enjoy our meals and people watch on a sunny and warm afternoon. Yep, I’m definitely coming back here.
