Did you know that one of the oldest and most popular mural paintings around is in Milan? Indeed, Leonardo Di Vinci’s “The Last Supper” fresco was high up on my to-do list. Upon arriving in Milan, I was researching online hoping to find affordable tickets and my heart sank when I learned just how difficult it was (and expensive) to get an appointment time to see the painting. Also, my Italian friends mentioned to me that they too wanted to see it but, they knew it was nearly impossible to find access.
As luck would have it, a friend of mine from school one day mentioned about how she saw the painting last month. I gasped! She gave me all of the details and next thing you know, I was on my way to Santa Maria delle Grazie with two of my friends. Basically, they only allow a set of 15-20 people at a time and 15 minutes to gawk, take photos (no flash) and study the painting. Trust me, it’s worth seeing it!
